Objectives of DIYA Foundation

  • To train and support persons with disability to live life independently to the extent possible, within and as close to the community to which they belong through work/employment.
  • To provide support to persons with disability to live within their own families.
  • In cases where family support is not available to provide support with respect to care and protection by way of a residential set-up or group home set-up.
  • To provide support to families where none other exists by way of a day-care center. This will allow parents to leave their ward for a temporary period of time, while they take a much deserved break for the day for themselves or to do other essential work.
  • To promote awareness measures within the community to create a circle of support by lieu of volunteers, consultants, professionals in the field.
